Big 3, DOJ Investigating NBA for Antitrust. The NBA is under investigation for allegedly squashing Ice Cube’s Big 3 league.
When Ice Cube started the Big 3 League, I’m sure he never thought he would be going head to head with the NBA, the world’s most powerful basketball organization. #1 the format of the NBA are completely different and #2 their seasons don’t even overlap. The Big 3 is essentially a summer league like the Rucker or Drew in Los Angeles.
However, it is being alleged that the National Basketball Association is using its muscle to stunt the growth of the Big 3. After months of voicing his opinion on the matter, it seems like Ice Cube has caught the ear of the Department of Justice. Now, the highest law in the land is investigating the NBA for antitrust practices.
If the NBA is found to be using the tactics they are being investigated for, they could face hefty fines. Of course, the NBA has denied and wrongdoing.
