James Harden Joins Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers. Will the addition of Harden finally bring the Clippers a championship?
The Los Angeles Clippers shook up the NBA and the sports world in general when they traded for perennial all-star and future hall of fame guard James Harden. The move was not a surprise to NBA insiders, but it did put the association on notice. If the Clippers can stay healthy they present one of the biggest threats to the rest of the league.
According to Fox Sports only four teams have better odds to win the title than the Clippers. Those teams are the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns and defending NBA champions Denver Nuggets. The Clippers have never won a championship in franchise history but doesn’t mean they haven’t tried. Since he acquired the Clippers over a decade ago, billionaire Steve Ballmer has consistently paid big bucks to present Clipper fans with a quality product. Unfortunately, for whatever reasons, it has never equated to a title for L.A.’s second basketball team.
